Falcons Photos Update

1) If your photos are incorrect in any way, are missing, or you want to order more, please contact the photographer directly.  If re-ordering or correcting, hang onto your order form, you will need the photo number located on that form.  He is wonderful to work with and is here locally.

3) The following player/cheerleader photos are ready for pick up at the Stuart News located at 1939 SE Federal Highway, Stuart, FL 34994 (on US1 just North  of Monterey), from  8am -5pm; Monday through Friday.  The receptionist at the front desk will have your photos.

Falcons Have Something to Cheer About!

—Over the Thanksgiving weekend, the Junior Pee Wee Cheer team competed against 15 others in Pop Warner’s 2012 Southeast Region Cheer Championship in Orlando and brought home a fourth place trophy.

The team and coaches have been hard at work perfecting stunts, a dance, and cheers since the season opened in August. All of their hard work and dedication paid off. The Jensen Beach Falcons family is so very proud of their accomplishments.

What do you get when mix amazing volunteer coaches, 4th, 5th, and 6th grade girls, two teen volunteers from Jensen Beach High School, dedicated parents, and Falcons fans? You get the 2012 Treasure Coast Junior Pee Wee Cheer Champions bringing home 4th place in the Southeast Region--and a very merry Falcons family!

Falcons Cheer Movie Fun Night Fundraiser: Nov 1 at JBE


            The Junior Pee Wee and Junior Midget Falcons Cheerleaders were awarded First Place in their respective divisions at the Treasure Coast Cheer & Dance Competition at FAU in Boca Ratonlast week. 
Next up is Pop Warner’s Regional Competition in Orlando over Thanksgiving weekend.  The squads will be fundraising to help offset the costs associated with sending 44+ cheerleaders, coaches, and chaperones to the competition.

Join the champions for “Falcons Cheer Movie Fun Night” on Thursday, November 1 at Jensen Beach Elementary, from 8pm to 11pm.  Tickets are $10 each and include admission and three iems at the $1.00 Concession Stand (drinks, hot dogs, popcorn, candy).  Bring your lawn chair and some spending money for some great raffle prizes and sprit stuff!  Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.  Adults are free!

Football Equipment Return

If your season has concluded, please plan to return your 1) Helmet with chin strap, 2) Clean, black football pants, 3) Clean game jersey, and 4) Shoulder pads.

When you return your equipment, you can choose to have your $150 Deposit Check cashed as an early registration discount for the 2013 season OR your check can be voided.

If your equipment is not returned, your $150 deposit check will be deposited.

·        “Memory Mate” (indiv. photo of  child + team photo) -$20
·        Team Photo Only 8x10 -$15
·        Team Photo Only 5X7 -$10

When you turn in your order form & payment to photographer, if you would like to purchase one of the items above and/or have a coach/team mom/sibling photo, please write a note on the form and include a check.

We are not able to provide re-takes; this will be the only nights our photographer will be on the field for individual and team photos.  Please do you best to have your child at the field in full uniform so he/she can be included in the team photo!

The 2012 season is days away! Conditioning starts AUGUST 1!


The first few days can be hectic…but FUN!!!  Please help us make it less hectic and more fun by taking a moment to read through this post!

Here are some quick notes about Conditioning….see you all Wednesday at Jensen Beach Elementary at 5:50pm…

FOOTBALL & CHEER CONDITIONING
Aug. 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 13, 14) (6pm – 8pm)
•If your player or cheerleader misses any conditioning, he/she is required to make it up
•Players and cheerleaders should not wear jewelry; coaches will not hold jewelry for players
•Players and Cheerleaders must bring water

What BOYS should know...
•Players must wear cleats, athletic shorts, and t-shirt, jersey, or tank top
•Players may be asked to wear league-provided helmets the second week of conditioning
•Players must bring water

What GIRLS should know...
•Cheerleader must wear cheer shoes/sneakers, athletic shorts, t-shirt or wide strap tank top
•Hair should be in a pony tail
 
What PARENTS should know...
•Parent must first check in with their child, then child can find their team on the JBE field. 
•Bring any remaining paperwork; your child cannot be on the field without all of it!
•Plan to stay on the field; parents cannot drop off their child(ren)
•Consider bringing a chair, but there are bleachers available
•You can bring personal coolers for beverages and/or snacks (no alcohol)
•NO parking on the field

Please be patient as we get the 2012 season started; the first few days can be hectic…but FUN!!!  This year we will all be dealing with construction at Jensen Beach Elementary School, too.  Please park at St Martin De Porres Church until we get other instructions from school/county

•Except Tiny Mite and Junior Pee Wee Football, rosters are closed for the 2012 season

Announcements: 

JBFC will NOT field a MIdget Team in 2012.
  • Players who have already registered will be issued a refund.
  • Boys affected are ages 13 on July 31 that are over 120 pounds; or ages 14 & 15
  • Midget Players are encouraged to contact other local leagues to register.
JBFC is extending registration for TINY MITE and JUNIOR PEE WEE only.
  • Fee and registration materials must be mailed to JBFC, PO Box 622, Jensen Beach, FL 34958
  • Tiny Mite is for boys aged 5, 6, or 7 on July 31 and weighing less than 75 pounds.
  • Junior Pee Wee is for ages 8, 9, 10 on July 31 (weight to 105) or age 11 weighing 60-86 pounds
  • Please let your friends and neighbors know about this extension

There is still time to sign up for 2012 Football & Cheer and/or turn in ALL your paperwork:

In-Person Registration:
Sat., June 30 at Langford Park from 10am – 2pm

OR

Send your registration and paperwork to:

***mail by July 1 to ensure an on-time delivery

Paperwork and Items needed for COMPLETE Registration for EACH Child:
1.    Cash or Check made out to Jensen Beach Falcons Football & Cheer ($175 per cheerleader; $200 per football player  )

2.    $15 Yearbook Fee per child Cash or Check made out to Jensen Beach Falcons Football & Cheer (can combine on one check, include child name on memo)

3.    Participant contract and parental consent form

4.    Wallet sized color photograph of your cheerleader (head-shot)

5.    Copy of Child’s Birth Certificate

6.    Current utility bill

7.    Copy of a parent’s Current, State-issued ID

8.    Pop Warner 2012 Physical Fitness and Medical History Form (must be an original, no faxes or copies permitted)

9.    Four copies of most current full school year’s Report Card (must be actual report card with four quarters, pinnacle printout will not suffice)

Mulligan’s in Downtown Jensen Beach is hosting a Pre-Season Kickoff Party; proceeds that night benefit Jensen Beach Falcons Football & Cheer. 

Come on down for a night out, check in with your Falcons Family, and/or register or turn in any paperwork!

Congratulations to our Falcons Scholar-Athletes!


Pop Warner’s All-American Scholar Weekend is in Disney World May 25-26.  The event is a celebration of Pop Warner’s top student-athletes from across the country! 

About 400,000 players and cheerleaders participate on teams and squads annually; the Top 2% are recognized as All American Scholars.  These players and cheerleaders achieved at least a 96% average for the school year plus participated in non-sports activities and/or volunteered in their communities while maintaining an "A" avergage!

Some of our very own Falcons have been recognized locally (and now have been invited to attend the national event) for their outstanding efforts on the field and IN THE CLASSROOM!

The Falcons Family is very proud of our Falcons' achievements.


Football 2012 Pop Warner All-American Scholars (2nd Team All American)

FYI:  All American Scholars Process, from Pop Warner website:

  • A final score is calculated for each student that consists of up to 100 points (85%) for the student's grades for the prior school year, along with up to 18 points (15%) awarded for the attached Addendum sheet of activities and achievements.
  • Once the scores have been calculated, First Team All-Americans are selected. The top 35 football players and 25 cheerleaders per grade (plus ties) are selected as National First Team All-Americans.
  • Second Team All-Americans are then determined by Pop Warner based upon the number of applications that were submitted for that year. Last year's total was approximately 3,800 Second Team All-Americans

In 2013, the event will be in Boston and for 2014 back in Orlando.

$150 for Cheerleaders on May 5 ($175 after May 5)
